My love for animals began as a child growing up with cats and a dog and spending time at my grandparent’s dairy farm. My family traveled a lot and we usually brought our Labrador retriever with us,but on the trips where the lab could not come, we had to begin our vacation with a very sad trip to the kennel. Even back then, I knew there must be a better way to leave your pet than in a cage.
After high school in Hamilton, MA, I studied Animal Medical Technology at the University of Maine at Orono. I worked at the Animal Medical Center in NYC, Cheshire Animal Hospital in Keene NH, and Derry Animal Hospital in Derry NH.
My three children graduated from Bedford High School, and now one has graduated from New Hampshire Institute of Art, and the twins are still in college.
I have volunteered at the Bronx Zoo, and with different rescue dog placement groups.
As for pets, I have a Lab mix, a bichon, two cats, a parakeet and a fish aquarium in my home.
Other interests are skiing, photography, boating and bird watching.
I look forward to meeting you and your pet family!
